  • Solid front axle or.......

My A arm's are starting to rust out on my '95 4runner. Instead of making a mistake should I replace them or go straight axle? I really know the answer, but what about cost? Mild offroading but mostly DD.

31x10.5x15, 3" rear lift, omitted running boards and mud flaps 145000 miles on it. You can see pics on general discussion under" finally pics of my 95 4runner"

People throw away a-arms all the time after an SAS. I'm sure you could pick one up for free.

But it sounds like you dont wheel very hard, and an SAS is overkill. Your stock IFS should work fine.

just keep form and function in mind. sure a solid swap would look cool and perform alot better on the trails. but as a daily driver/weekend wheeler, think about how long your a-arms have lasted and what troubles youve had. plus is this your only vehicle and can you afford the down time involved with a solid swap?? hopes this helps.
