  • Important info on taking pictures to use on this site.

Most people today are using their cell phones to take pictures. It is important to know that this site does not automatically turn the pictures the correct orientation. It will always put them in landscape position. So any pictures you take with the phone standing up, will show on here with them laying down. I'm not sure if all phones do this, but I know my Samsung does. Always take the picture or video with the phone laying sideways, or landscape.

This was taken portrait, or phone standing up.

I have the regular S7 not the edge. I have found that even rotating the pictures on a PC still results in the pictures sitting wrong if they were taken from my Samsung S7 phone. The Samsung embeds some format that's still readable even though you modify the picture. The only time I have been able to rotate pictures on his forum is through the gallery. Laying the phone sideways has been the only way I could find to make it work correctly on a Samsung device.

It seems when you crop the picture it changes the format and makes it work.

It looks like if you crop it at all it saves it and allows it to show correctly. I just cropped a little bit off the top of that picture and it worked

Not sure if iPhones have this issue. Have you had any problems?
