I'd be fine wheeling there, but they don't allow camping. Or glass containers.

I really do want to, and plan to next year.

But for the Tour, I just don't think it'll work.

I don't think people are going to want to cut it short Saturday to drive four plus hours to primitive camp in 35* weather. And I really don't think people will want to do that drive early Sunday instead, to get out there past noon, and get four hours in and have to drive back...

But hey, I'm not in charge. Does Rush sound better to anybody that's planning to go?

For that matter, who is planning to go?

comanchedude 10-25-2013 09:44 PM

Im a go for Haspin.

WrenchMonkey 10-26-2013 12:08 AM

So maybe we'll just hash it out around the fire at Haspin.

93 Krawler 10-26-2013 09:46 AM

I'm only in for Haspin. Rush would've been good if we had started at Bigrock. I wouldn't have drove the 4 hrs to Rush from Haspin. That's to far for a days wheeling.

the gimp 10-26-2013 11:00 PM

so is everyone just doing haspin on sat I would love to come fri night but my body can't do cold so I can camp and I don't wanna go home and come streight back so I sat will be at haspin I'm in for the day

the gimp 10-26-2013 11:02 PM

the gimp 10-26-2013 11:04 PM

WrenchMonkey 10-27-2013 03:45 AM

$20 per person per day:

the gimp 10-27-2013 12:22 PM

Yea I new that i don't know what I was thinking I got the flu my mind just Ain't working hahahahahaha

I meant the other one besides big rock

WrenchMonkey 10-27-2013 01:22 PM

If we end up at DTOR, it's $20 for the driver, $5 passenger.

All I need is to get two of my tires back from best one and I am in for sure.

Good luck with that. I wouldn't count on them coming back any time soon.

Yeah, I showed him your thread. We're hoping that was a fluke!

So! Are we all meeting and camping at the shoe tree again?

yes the shoe tree. unless you want a change of scenery, haspin has a bra tree to offer over toward the backbone.

timido 10-28-2013 04:35 PM

I was told the shoe tree burned down.

wasn't much left the last time I was there so that may be true at this point. not sure if everyone knows where to meet then if they are new to haspin. maybe Robert can post a pic of the location since he was mapping it out ?

WrenchMonkey 10-28-2013 07:13 PM

I think it was burned down and restarted. There was "a" shoe tree in the same clearing when we were there end of August...

For those trying to find it, we're talking about the big clearing right in the middle of the park:

The "Lot Tree" is at the entrance, the blue lines are fire roads. You can get a tow rig and trailer back there pretty easily.

What time sat is everyone meeting at the tree
