Won't make it, too much moving stuff to finish paying for and too little money... maybe next time:(

WrenchMonkey 09-22-2010 12:02 AM

Looking pretty good for me. I should know for sure in a couple weeks.

I guess I'll tow, and sleep in the ferd. Sure would be cool to drive though...

Decisions, decisions...

I am having the same questions myself. Its not as stressful knowing you need to drive it somewhere after you are done beating on your junk. Who knows. I have "camped" in my truck many a time though. I have scheduled my time off. I really really hope it works out.

Off topic-I havent wheeled with Core in about 5 years. Any of the people that have been around a while, remember the Nissan truck I brought to the Bridge? I think that was my last Core trip.

WrenchMonkey 09-23-2010 12:58 AM

My worry is haspin. If I break at the Rock, I wouldn't hesitate to go home for the trailer and come back for it.

Haspin, I don't know how much would still be there to come back FOR.

Wow, yes. I believe after the second of third tow back to camp we told you to stay within sight of camp... and we had an interesting fire pit that evening with the pallets that you brought and "misc" items that ended up with them... I seem to remember a gentleman by the name of Squirrel... 'nuff said.

cincygman 09-24-2010 07:07 AM

well I got the leaf spring done last night and power steering hose last sundey so I am one step closer to being able to go. Now about the front driveshaft, anybody got one laying around?:D

we will keep an eye on it and get it up to the front office if needed.

Still wondering about an event name. Seems like there is a lot potentially taken for granted if we use the term "Ultimate Adventure". How about something like "ADVENTURE CORE". Kind of a play on words but we can expand it to wherever it needs to go.. Thoughts???

WrenchMonkey 09-27-2010 11:51 PM

I did like "Almostimate Adventure..."

"Penultimate Adventure" makes me smile, too...

Robert

SixFtUnd 09-28-2010 05:39 AM

my vote simply " C.O.R.E. Aventure Run "

itbrokeagain 09-28-2010 04:01 PM

Somewhatultimate Adventure? Adventure of Near Ultimateness? Bad Azz Core Carnage Weekend?

dan 09-28-2010 04:49 PM

if its gonna be a yearly trip Core Annual Adventure

SixFtUnd 09-28-2010 05:26 PM

Core Annual Adventure Sounds good

Bad Azz Core Carnage Weekend Sounds Accurate

93 Krawler 09-28-2010 06:06 PM

This sounds like fun. I'll go if my junk survives the Fall Crawl. I like the last part of the one, Core Carnage Weekend...

Oh, yeah, I see that name getting abused...

Hmm CORE Carnage Adventure... That kinda works actually. Don't want to limit ourselves to a weekend (I have big ideas) in case we do more days in either a spring or fall run next year.

Are people interested in paying for Tshirts and/or stickers for the event? I'm trying to get an estimated cost for them. Pretty basic designs and you have to run Haspin Sat, camp overnight and run Big Rock Sun in order to receive them.

Sat evening/night I was thinking of a big grill out party thing at Big Rock. Not sure on logistics (is the meat item part of the registration packet w/Tshirt and sticker or do people bring stuff...oh and grills (not the dental kind) ).

dan 09-29-2010 06:22 PM

everybody could always use more stickers and t-shirts

cincygman 09-29-2010 10:06 PM

Well it depends on what the cost is getting up to. T-shirt, OK,
t-shirt and window decal, Ok. T-shirt, window decal, meat. Not to sure about that combo:D

There goes the neighborhood...

BigRed 10-01-2010 11:26 PM

CORE Carnage Adventure...

I would drop the word "adventure". Carnage and adventure doesn't go to together well. Just call it CORE Carnage. Subtitle "Trail run" or "Trail event".

WrenchMonkey 10-01-2010 11:54 PM

NAXJA's Midwest chapter had a CarnageFest a couple years back... I won't tell if you steal that name...

Robert

BigRed 10-02-2010 12:02 AM

I like carnagefest. That's good.
