what are the details on the mini KOH race. How many classes? do you need a cage for a full bodied XJ?

fmlewis 06-01-2011 12:35 PM

Thanks for getting this posted. I will get answers posted hopefully tomorrow to your questions regarding the KOH style race we are gonna do Friday night.

Basically, my initial thoughts are Yes you will need some form of a cage to provide protection to your and/or riders. The number of classes depends are the number of competitors. I anticipate a stock class where competitors without a full cage would compete, the obstacles would be much less extreme and will not include the eliminator hill finish line. Then I would expect to see 2 more classes similar to our rock crawls, Unlimited Class (full body rigs), Pro Unlimited (tube chassis).

Stay tuned.

BTW: The band is Rubber Knife Gang, bluegrass music. Great local band.

4 classes....Stock,modified,unlimited buggy,and pro unlimited buggy

they were nice enought to let me run without a cage last time :)......but all the will be taken care for the next one

Thanks for the info!:beers: as far as other forums, rccrawler.com is the main place for anyone that crawls. Email me a flyer and I will post it at the local hobby shop.:beers:

Is this the only event going to take place thi day?

P.S. I will be there to take the money! :D

fmlewis 06-03-2011 10:04 AM

General Admission for Sunday is FREE.

Yes, this is the only event planned for Sunday. As far as a Flyer we are working on one now and I will send it to you. We appreciate the help pushing this event for us.

If we have a pretty good turnout then perhaps we can add more events next year.

BTW: We are looking for an R/C shop to sponsor the event. Feel free to forward our contact information to them.

biggin69 06-09-2011 06:58 PM

Any other details on the R/C Crawl???

wheelin678 06-11-2011 12:09 PM

more interest in the rc crawl then the actual rock crawl lol.....i love it

biggin69 06-11-2011 06:32 PM

Well, no update I guess??? I will spread the word tomorow at the local comp and try and get everyone to come.

fmlewis 06-12-2011 09:37 AM

Hey guys,

I am working on getting you some answers. I typically work the full size rig competitions. I will keep you posted.

I don't know much about the R/C crawling. I would assume we would run those classes, but I don't know what the difference is in them.

If you guys go to a local crawl spread the word. The more people we get at the competition the more the payout will be for the competitors and increases the probability for more events on Sunday.

Frank, as far as classes, 1.9 Scale, 2.2 Pro, and 2.2 Sportsman would be your best bet. Like I said, let me know how I can help out!:beers:
