Couple of questions

Question 1
On other forums I'm on I don't have to hit a button before using the quick post reply box. Is this just a setting on the server? I know its just minor thing but kind of annoying, its called a quick reply box for a reason.

Question 2
I tried to post thumbnails of some photos from the gorge off of photobucket and they didn't work. They worked fine when doing the pictures themselves, just not the thumbnails. Any ideas???

carwash 09-03-2007 02:13 PM

at this point you have to use the quick reply button to make a quick reply. it's a code modification i havent figured out yet... but really, is it that difficult? I will work on it for you.

not sure why the thumbnail thing isn't working for you, i have seen others use it with no problem... I don't have a photobucket account so i can't test it for you.

maybe you could try to do it again in this thread and we can troubleshoot it together.

Stang849 09-03-2007 04:25 PM

No its not that difficult to hit the quick reply button, just annoying ;) :D

Here is what I get if i try the thumbnail option on photobucket.

<center>
<a href="http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t5/Stang849/DSC_1297Small.jpg" target="_blank">
<img src="http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t5/Stang849/th_DSC_1297Small.jpg"></a>
<a href="http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t5/Stang849/DSC_1293Small.jpg" target="_blank">
<img src="http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t5/Stang849/th_DSC_1293Small.jpg"></a>
</center>

if need be I'll give you my screen name and password to photobucket if you need it to figure it out.

Thanks

ok, i figured out how i can make the click not required for the quick reply. But, there is one advantage to the hitting of the button.

If i am making a quick reply to a post in the midst of 10 other replies, i can click the Quick Reply button and then hit the "quote message in reply" check box, and it will quote that message in your quick reply.

That can be an advantage, i guess. So, it's possible to turn off the need to click the Quick Reply button, but i would like to hear some other's opinions on it before i made a change like that.

Still working on your code issues....

carwash 09-04-2007 10:02 AM

Ok, here it is... but you have to catch me on IM or something for me to give you the code to do it, cuz if i give it to you here... it will just show the images again... or look below, i will try to replace things...

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t..._1297Small.jpg

the code is much simpler than your code... below, the curly braces " { } " should be replaced with square braces " [ ] " Get it?

But honeslty, if you want to, you can just link to the fullsize images in the thread instead of thumbnailing them all... no need really.

If you have any more problems you can borrow a 1/4 stick from me and a lighter!:eek:

I got it to work, basically just copied your coding from the others. You are right thats a royal pain in the arse. I will just post fullsize pics from now on. Thank you for the effort though.

As to the quick post button, your reasoning is good to leave it go. I don't quote many people on here so, I wouldn't have thought of that reason to keep it that way.

Thanks Again.

I may not be able to repair it but I sure can turn it into small pieces and laugh at it until I get the repair bill. :o

Truggy she put me up to this!!! :D :D :D

It looks like a nice spot to put your arm, now you just need to go down that hill again and dent the other side to match.

carwash 09-04-2007 01:49 PM

i dont see anything different... hahahahha

Awesome pic. If tjjeepjeep started it she must not want to fourwheel anymore. We may have scared her out of wheeling. The ding doesn't look that bad there. I thought about going down that ledge but was afraid of dinging up the top of the truggy when I rolled it.

carwash 09-04-2007 02:03 PM

where did this happen?

blah blah blah you're all talk. it'll end with the solution being a 1/4 stick and a lighter....:rolleyes:

Where Jamie n scott rolled just past lower damnation. No body and I mean no body made it up. Atleast in our motley group :( (I think that is what they call it) I think I may be able to use explosives to straighten it out. Now that would make it fun.
