I ve got a few small things to fix on it and it ll be ready to roll. Never done work on a pinion brake before but doesn t look to hard. Just gotta figure out what caliper is on it. The rear one is leaking, bad piston seals.

My pinion kit used 86 yota front calipers, ive seen some others use chevy 3/4 ton as well so maybe one of those

so I did a little flexing today to see what its capabilities are and.................

NKYJEEPSTER 07-21-2012 05:13 PM

the first pic you can see the front of the slider is even with my shoudler, i m 6'2"

the rear suspension started out sitting level with 19.25 inches front bolt to bolt on the shocks, there is only 5 inches of up travel as it sits with the current shocks. I removed the shocks on the rear to see what it is capable of and in this pic the driver side rear axle dropped down to 39.75 inches from 19.25. So that s 20+ inches.

Oh yeah, sitting on the angle, it didn t feel a bit tipsy like it wanted to roll over, it feel pretty stable to me.

NKYJEEPSTER 07-21-2012 08:24 PM

so from what I can figure, I need to start looking for some fox 2.0 16" or 18" travel shocks for the back, Need 2 if anybody s got any.
