theres a place down the street from me that has an open trailer that they remove the wheels from one side and lock it up... seemed extreme when i first saw it but knowing the law inforcements frame of mind around HERE i understand why... you can get away with stealing anything around here as long as you dont speed, have tinted windows or listen to your music to loud...

Cameras, tongue lock, latch lock along with a few boobie traps have kept mine safe!

93 Krawler 12-17-2012 12:32 PM

I always use tongue and latch locks.

itbrokeagain 12-17-2012 12:58 PM

I recently put a tongue lock on mine. Turns out I'm pretty sure I know the douche that stole my axles. Can't trust anyone anymore.

I have been looking in Amelia but haven't seen anything

Put it up on blocks, hook 220volts to it, watch said thief fry when they touch it and become the direct path to ground.

Just sayin'...

monkeystrong 12-17-2012 01:10 PM

Does it have serial numbers or anything like that on it?

Nuts 12-17-2012 08:23 PM

I chain mine to a telephone pole, use the ball type hitch lock, take all the lug nuts off one side, run a chain through the wheels on the other side, park in front of it whenever possible, and bought a big dog.

I like bigguns idea myself.

SixFtUnd 12-18-2012 05:39 AM

that would be a good idea if the thief wouldn't be able to sue you after and get a million dollar there's justice for you

I have never heard of a dead person suing anyone.

His family would sue for "loss of support" and "loss of companionship."

Total horse hockey but I have read the legal brief from a court case where a burgler broke into a house, assaulted the owner, and was shot and killed. His family then sued the property owner and won:eek::mad:

I propose that all civil actions that arise from the plaintiffs' criminal action be immediately dismissed.:beers:

biggin69 12-18-2012 10:08 AM

What state? Ohio does have the Castle Law now. There is always the "what if?".

Back on subject, it sucks that your trailer was stolen and I hope you find it.
