Looks to me like the hybrid stuff is warranteed for 100,000 miles, which will be 3 years. Most of the rest of the warranty is 36/60 which is two years or one year. All compacts these days will get 35mpg. My 1991 22RE pickup gets over 30. SO let's try this:
You will buy 600 gallons of gas at 30000/50mpg.
You would buy 860 gals of gas at 30000/35mpg.
That looks like 260 gallons saved at $4.00 equals $1000 per year to me.
OK, I just noticed that you had an Accord (good car) getting 25mpg.
So that would be 600 gallons saved or $2400/yr.
Again, no disrespect to the Prius or the spirit of conservation it reflects, I just question the math.
