Cut boggers and big horsepower are the hot setup here. There is a lot of mud but it's not really a mud bog.....the tough obstacles are all steep hill climbs that are rutted out and greasy. Kind of a nice change from a lot of trails as it is just hold your foot to the floor.
The 5.3 in Kevin's rig definitely sounded good and you wouldn't think it was a "stock" small block, even if it wasn't running 100%. The hill in the video above was pretty tough. I only saw a couple rigs make it and none on the first try, including a high dollar tube buggy with 43's and big power that took several tries.
